This Woman Refused To Marry Her Fiancé Because He Couldn’t Solve A Math Problem

There are lots of last minute disasters that can ruin weddings: cheating, rudeness or just plain not showing up (um, rude). But one woman in India has come up with a whole new dealbreaker — math.
According to local police, a wedding in Rasoolabad village near
the city of Kanpur in north India was called off when the groom failed to solve a simple addition problem. Before saying “I do,” his bride-to-be asked him what 15 plus six was. He said “17.” She stormed out.
Since many marriages in India are arranged between families, plenty of couples don’t know each other very well before tying the knot. I guess this bride wanted to make her standards clear from the start.
To be fair, we can think of a few knowledge gaps that would totally wipe out our desire to marry somebody, too.
  1. Not being able to name all of the planets.

    Space Cat
    Pluto does NOT count.
  2. Having horrible grammar.

“Its” is the possessive, “it’s” is the contraction, thanks.
  3. Not being able to name every member of One Direction.

You’ve got to draw the line somewhere. Bye, Felicia.
