Mohammed stated this on Wednesday in Abuja during a meeting of PDP Stakeholders including the leadership of the six geo-political zones resident in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to him, "President Jonathan inherited this menace of insurgency and his administration has been working assiduously to tackle it headlong.
"The problem is not restricted to Nigeria because it has global dimension. Nevertheless, this government has the will power to defeat and stamp out insurgency from the country and make it history".
The minister therefore called for continued support of people to the government particularly the military.
He said that the Transformation Agenda of the President has been able to put smiles on the faces of the residents of the FCT and cited the achievement of the expansion and rehabilitation of the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua (Airport Road) as well as the Murtala Muhammad (Kubwa Raod) Expressways.
Mohammed added that the Federal Government under President Jonathan has been able to complete the Gurara Water transfer scheme as well as the 3rd and 4th Phases of the Lower Usuma Dam to the glory of God and benefit of all.
