International Women’s Day, which has been observed since the early 1900s, is meant to inspire and celebrate women — also to push for more rights and greater equality.
As you may or may not know, this year’s theme for International Women’s Day is “Make It Happen,” a call to not just raise awareness for the gap in gender equality, but to do something about it — and all manner of powerhouse women are celebrating, including U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson, who will be holding a live Facebook Q&A this afternoon.
